Logistics Team Leader

Our client is looking for a proactive and well-organised Logistics Team Lead to supervise daily logistics operations and support the smooth movement of goods across the supply chain. The ideal candidate will lead a team, monitor performance, ensure timely deliveries, maintain inventory accuracy, and promote safe and efficient working practices. This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving ability, and hands-on experience in logistics or warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise the daily activities of the logistics team
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments to ensure smooth operations
  • Monitor inventory movement, stock accuracy, and warehouse organisation
  • Ensure orders are processed, packed, and dispatched on time
  • Support transport planning and delivery scheduling
  • Allocate tasks to team members and monitor productivity
  • Train, guide, and motivate team members to meet operational targets
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and company procedures
  • Identify operational issues and implement practical improvements
  • Work closely with warehouse, transport, procurement, and customer service teams
  • Prepare basic reports on team performance, stock issues, and delivery activities
  • Help maintain high service quality and customer satisfaction

Requirements

  • Proven experience in logistics, warehouse, or supply chain operations
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or team lead role is preferred
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Good understanding of logistics processes, stock control, and distribution operations
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
  • Good problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Strong communication and organisational abilities
  • Basic computer skills and experience with warehouse or logistics systems
  • Flexibility to work shifts when required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field
  • Experience using ERP, WMS, or inventory management systems
  • Forklift certificate is an advantage, where applicable
  • Language - Fluent in English
